The Children’s Health StarCenter in Farmers Branch is cool for kids, dates and friends to go ice skating before Denton Drive Live! concerts. Want to know why you should rock the ice before the band takes the stage? Because it is conveniently located directly across the street from The Grove at Mustang Station. Park at The Grove or the StarCenter and you’ll have an easy walk back and forth.
Denton Drive Live! gates open at 6:00 p.m. and you can come and go until 10:00 p.m. Nuevo Leon Mex Mex Restaurant grills it up all night long so order up fresh favorites for dinner and then enjoy the bands!
Skaters must pre-register online for public skating sessions offered daily. Choose the Farmers Branch ice rink and register for one of the available time slots. Skate times on Saturdays begin at 12:15 p.m. and continue until 6:45 p.m. The schedule is subject to change and skaters should contact the StarCenter for updates.
Public Skating Pricing
Admission (ages 4+): $10.00
Youth admission (3 & under): FREE
Skate rental: $5.00
Skaters are welcome to bring their own skates and save the rental fee by registering for “Skating Only.” Registration for “Skating with Skate Rental” includes the admission and rental fees. Are you a beginner? That’s ok! Beginners can learn to skate in bucket zones using props to maintain balance.

Check-out the Denton Drive Live! calendar of tribute bands booked to rock the second Saturday of the monthly concert series through September 2021. This award-winning event in Farmers Branch is free for all ages to attend and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets as their own seating. Outside alcohol is not permitted but you’re welcome to bring a cooler of beverages and snacks.
