We know you are, so make plans to hit Denton Drive Live on Saturday, June 11, as two “monster classic rock” acts take the stage to bring a concert experience unlike anything seen or heard before in Farmers Branch! It’s The Elton Johns and their epic Tribute to Elton John followed by Rock and Roll Over – A Salute to KISS!
Inspired by the one and only Sir Elton John, The Elton Johns is an unforgettable, all-live music experience (complete with a costumed full band and string quartet) that pays tribute to one of the top-selling and most popular artists of all time! Fans of all ages and backgrounds can sing along to an amazing hit parade that includes such anthems as “Crocodile Rock,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Bennie and the Jets,” “Island Girl” and “Tiny Dancer!”
Farmers Branch, “You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best!” Texas-based Rock and Roll Over have been performing since 2010 and bring the state’s best salute to KISS. In fact, Gene and Paul named Rock and Roll Over as being among the top 4 tributes in the world that pay tribute to the kings of glam rock! They’ve also been named the top tribute band in Dallas by D Magazine! You’ll hear ALL eras of KISS, be it 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, to 2000. So, if you wanna Rock and Roll All Nite and Party Every Day, we’ll see you at the Grove – it’s going to be a “Farmers Branch Rock City” kind of night!
As an added touch to the concerts, the first 50 adults get a free pair of awesome, Elton John-inspired sunglasses to wear for the show. And we’ve got a special KISS-themed face-painter lined up to get you ready to rock out in full makeup!
The Denton Drive Live! gates open at 6 p.m. and The Elton Johns will kick off the evening at 6:15 p.m. Rock and Roll Over follows at 8:30 p.m. and will keep the music flowing until 10 p.m.! All of this takes place at the Grove at Mustang Station, 12700 Denton Drive.
There will be lawn games for the entire family in our new Game Zone, and food and drinks are available for purchase. Speaking of delicious eats, June’s featured food trucks are Chicago Taste and More (gourmet hot dogs) and Ned’s Mama Cafe (good ol’ comfort food).
