It’s a “rock and royal” kind of night at Denton Drive Live! on Saturday, May 14, as two great bands take the stage to amp up and party down! It’s Cherry Bomb and their Tribute to the Women of Rock followed by Farmers Branch’s very own David Chicken and his soulreviving, hip gyrating throwdown…better known as Graceland Ninjaz – The King of Party Bands!
The halls of rock and roll are dotted with influential and legendary female artists such as Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Tina Turner, Heart, Chrissie Hynde and Blondie- singers and bands that paved the way for aspiring female musicians everywhere.
And Dallas-based tribute
band Cherry Bomb salutes them all in their jam-packed setlist that features the most well-known anthems from these Queens of rock – it’s a full 90 minutes of hits that will take you back to the decades when music defined the generation and laid the foundation for future ones.
It’s time for The King of Party Bands! Graceland Ninjaz delivers a high-energy show blending mashups and greatest hits spanning five decades of rock & roll, dance, hip hop, soul & funk! Mix in a dash of horns and a Vegas-style production and you have a fun, entertaining concert that keeps audiences partying the entire night! If you’ve never seen these guys live you are in for a treat- and we’ve got a dance floor at The Grove so be sure and bring yo’ dancin’ shoes and yo’ best groovy moves!
The Denton Drive Live! gates open at 6 p.m. and Cherry Bomb will kick off the evening at 6:15 p.m. Graceland Ninjaz follows at 8:30 p.m. and will keep the music flowing until 10 p.m.! All of this takes place at The Grove at Mustang Station, 12700 Denton Drive.
There will be lawn games for the entire family in our new Game Zone, and food and drinks are available for purchase. May’s featured food trucks are J Wok Kitchen (Asian fusion/cuisine) and Kreole Kreations (Cajun seafood/stuffed turkey legs).
